I just called up the vet, and they say our cat Diamond is doing much better. Her temperature's back down to normal, but they'd like to keep her overnight for observation and then in the morning they'll have the blood work and x-ray done to talk to us about.

I wish it was cheaper than 400 dollars, but it's a million times cheaper than what a similar level of care for a human would run. It makes you wonder why our medical system is so damned expensive.

On the plus side, I've been so energetic with worry this afternoon that I finished one pendant, completed the bezel on Jeanette's pendant, and started working on another pendant this afternoon.
